Why Do I Feel Depressed After Being Social?

Answer |

Hello and thank you the great question. I think you may be an introvert and you may be overthinking things when you are in social situation. I am the same when I have to be around people that I am not familiar with or new situations. I get socially drained and need to reboot the system. I often think about how I interact with people and if I made a mistake. I think that’s what you are doing. You overthink and if you didn’t get the social interactions right then you criticize yourself. Just relax and take social situations slowly and work on how to not be in your head too much. Eventually you will be in a place where even if you make some odd moments you don’t dwell too much. Hope this helps.
